General Manager / Director
Kelvin has an extensive background in purchasing for a large nation-wide company including importing from various countries.
As director of Colorex Kelvin handles all aspects of purchasing and stock control and keeps an eye on the company’s accounts.
Kelvin is also a director of the Maxim Group NZ – a nation-wide buying group that co-ordinates buying from local and overseas suppliers to ensure value-for-money for our customers.
Sales & Marketing Manager / Director
Originally a toolmaker working on precision engineering projects Vern’s career later morphed into sales. He has many years serving customers in both the cleaning and painting industries.
Vern has a passion for the painting industry and for the customer service that has overseen the growth of this business from a small two-man business to the thriving business it is today.
Overseeing the sales team and digital marketing platforms are part of Vern’s extensive involvement with Colorex.
Tim has over twenty years of experience in shop sales and over ten of these have been with Colorex.
Tim expertly manages a busy trade shop and has been an integral part of Colorex’s growth over these years as he has served customers’ needs excellently and efficiently.
At the weekends Tim can be seen walking the many lovely bush walks surrounding Wellington.
One of Colorex’s earliest employees Dave has been with the company for many years.
Originally doing deliveries for the company during the day and pumping weights at night, David then moved into a sales roll covering the lower North Island.
Now his experience sees him back at Colorex fulltime in a customer service roll focusing on machinery sales, scaffolding and roof edge protection enquiries and technical support.
Holds the company record for the most amount of kilometres travelled with the least amount of speeding tickets.
Key Accounts Manager
With a passion for sales and customer satisfaction Daniel looks after key accounts within Colorex.
Keeping up to speed with all aspects of Health & Safety in the market place Daniel oversees the stocking and marketing of safety and workwear products to new and existing clients.
The only staff member that enjoys Sushi.
Business Development Manager
Joining the team in 2016 Hayden is a valuable addition to Colorex.
With a background as a programmer and with a knowledge of all things digital Hayden created and manages our website, develops and maintains I.T. systems, helps out in customer service and has bought Colorex’s internal systems into the 21st century including website/accounting software integration, implementing an online customer portal, developing a custom hire system and streamlining our internal processes to ensure a better customer experience.
Hayden’s goal is to make the company paperless by the end of 2017.
Back in New Zealand after five years in Sydney Jon has settled in the capital city and is Colorex’s newest employee.
With vast experience in store work Jon is a natural fit for the role and handles all aspects of inwards and outwards goods in a busy trade shop.
After hours Jon is a tropical fish enthusiast and has lots of experience in the care and breeding of a variety of colourful and delightful species.
Wendy has vast experience in office administration and clerical duties – Wendy is the one who’ll likely answer the phone and steer you in the right direction.
Accomplishes a variety of administration and clerical duties in a friendly and efficient way.
Makes awesome cheese balls!
Darren is responsible for deliveries within the greater Wellington area, bringing goods and hire equipment to tradies on-site.
Negotiating a large Mercedes van through the narrow streets of the capital city are part of Darren’s daily challenges.
Has a passion for electric vehicles and is saving up hard to secure his very own Toyota Prius
Is happy when kept fed. It is best to keep on the right side of him.
